Founded in 1969, IWM Corporation (IWM) is the leader in Industrial Water Treatment equipment and chemicals within 300 miles of Chicago, IL. With IWM, providing expert level service through a Customer Portal was their major objective. Built on the OrderMaxx Web Development Framework, we helped IWM build a Customer Portal that integrates directly with their Pilot ERP Software. When Customers update information through the portal the data in Pilot ERP is updated automatically. The Customer Portal Interface provides everything a Customer would like to do after normal business hours: Update their Account, Pay Bills, Place Orders, Check Inventory Levels, Check Shipments, Submit Service Jobs and check the status of Service Jobs online.
In building the IWM Corporation website, we used the tools in the OrderMaxx Website Development Framework to build a standard Pilot ERP Service Job Module that directly communicates to their ERP System using a standard Application Programming Interface (API). The Customer Portal and Service Job Modules update information in Pilot ERP real-time. This tool helped IWM Corporation by extending their normal hours of operation. With the portal in place, their Customers can access the information they need even when the office is closed for the day. The Customer and Service Job portal also increased the productivity of their company by allowing their service staff to do more work because of the standardized approach to providing service.
